Aotearoa House is located inside Miglianico Golf Country Club, in a gated community. The house runs onto the golf course and overlooks the Maiella Mountain. The house borders the 12 and 13th hole, and has a view to the ancient village of Miglianico, the castle and the church. Looking to the right of the garden the splendour of the Maiella mountain is in full display and is18 km to the base of the mountain and 35 km to the ski field.
The house has a large portico (approx. 120 sq Mt), very sunny grass garden (approx 300 sq Mt) suitable for parties, barbecues and taking the sun. The portico and garden is fully equipped for all social occasions, barbecue, arrosticini barbecue and a large teak table with six wicker chairs (more available on request).
The Golf Country Club offers a large pool, restaurant, golf shop, rental of caddies, golf carts and daily green fees at a negotiated cost. Please see Miglianico Golf Country Club website.
The pool is open from Monday to Friday. On weekends it is reserved for members.
The villa has two double bedrooms on the ground floor (one master and one double, Egyptian cotton sheets and shutters for coolness and closure of light) and downstairs is a play room with two single beds which is very cool room in the summer.
There are three bathrooms: one with a jet bath, toilet, bidet and sink. Another with a separate shower, toilet, bidet and sink. One with a large wet room, walk in shower, toilet, bidet and sink.
There is a large open plan kitchen, dining room leading to a lounge and into the garden.

A few kilometres from the village of Miglianico, the beaches of Francavilla al Mare and Lido Riccio are fully equipped with restaurants, chairs and umbrellas which can be negotiated on a daily cost. There are also stony beaches at San Vito Chietino and Fossacesia immersed in the nature and surrounded by the traditional fishermen huts called “trabocchi”, where it is possible to eat fine local fish dishes.
It is only 35 km from the mountains where one can go all year round walking, trekking, visit the wolf sanctuary and skiing in the winter.
The area is famous for excellent, natural wines (Montepulciano D'Abruzzo and Pecorino) and food (arrosticini, hand made pasta, cheeses, cured meats, parrozzo, confetti, liquors, etc...).
The famous Tollo winery is a few kilometres away, also Masciarelli with wine tasting tours and tour of the castle, Miglianico cellar and the best red around of Castellini within 500metres from the house. With all these wineries they give the ability to buy from the cellar door.
